Make money blogging: 8 Lessons to move from 0 to $100,000 per Month –Part 1
Most people think blogging is a joke. To me, blogging can rake in more than $100k into my bank account monthly. Blogging is one of the greatest and the fastest growing online businesses, and it sometimes performs better than most mining companies and oil producing wells. Make money blogging: 8 Lessons to move from 0 to $100,000 per Month
Blogging is not a career, not just a way of making money or a tool for changing the world. It is a hobby, a diversion and a phenomenon that will get famous for a short time and go. When you tell a relative that you want to quit your 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM job and start blogging, they will say, “that’s silly! You already have a job.”
According to them, making money is only done through getting a degree, securing a ‘well paying job’ and not hanging your ropes on any stupid little blog. They know that blogs never bring in money. If you have been buying such ideas, I am sorry for you. Here are lessons that will enable you to rake in more cash from blogging.
Lesson 1: You are more than a blogger
You are a mentor, a teacher and perhaps an entrepreneur. Your site is simply a launchpad for all these skills.
Most successful bloggers offer courses, a side career as a keynote speaker, books, or even software. That’s how they make decent incomes. In fact, their blogs are something to attract more customers or clients.
Lesson 2: Avoid selling adverts
Well, you think that selling those ads brings in some cash, but the truth is, you can make 3 to 10times more money if you use the same add space to sell your services and to promote an affiliate product.
For example, Pat Flynn makes more than $50000 as commissions for promoting Bluehost.
Lesson 3: Build your sales funnel in reverse
Most bloggers tend to entice the site visitors with a freebie and then offer something irresistible. They then gradually sweet-talk the customer to purchase more expensive stuff.
Well, you need to build a sales funnel but ensure that you make it in reverse. Have you ever wondered why a blogger can launch a cheap e-book as his first product and then get frustrated when he fails to make money from it?
The real profit from any product you are selling is at the end of the sales tunnel and not the beginning. It is better to sell the expensive product first, and then gradually, create cheaper products.
I hope you now believe that blogging is a viable business. These lessons will make you move from $0 earnings per month to $100000 monthly. Check for Part 2 of this article to get 5 more lessons.
